Council will receive an update from TRCA on local projects, review the 2025 drinking water report confirming full regulatory compliance, and consider a 10‑year Financial Master Plan outlining rising operating costs, major infrastructure needs, higher projected tax increases, and recommended levy and debt strategies. Also on the agenda is the 2025 Council remuneration and expenses disclosure as required by law.

The York Region District School Board provided an update on the Dr. Bette Stephenson SS Proposed New Boundary.

Agenda items include: a final design for illuminated gateway features at Yonge & Garden; joining a York Region insurance pool that could save over $4M; a motion to protect TRCA’s structure and ensure the Province covers any consolidation costs; and a review of snow‑clearing enforcement for new subdivisions.

Richmond Hill saw declines in key everyday crimes like fraud, break‑ins, mischief, assaults and theft under $5,000, with only small increases elsewhere. York Region showed a more mixed pattern, with some rises such as impaired driving and arson. Overall, Richmond Hill had a quieter week, especially for property crime. Ongoing police patrols and resident vigilance help sustain these positive trends.
