Tiny Tunnels for Protecting the Endangered Jefferson Salamanders
Upcoming Road Closure – Stouffville Road (Bayview to Leslie)
Stouffville Road will be closed between Bayview Ave. and Leslie St. from July 2–4, 2025, for the installation of wildlife tunnels to protect endangered Jefferson Salamanders. These permanent tunnels support species recovery and reduce future road closures. Emergency and local access will be maintained; through traffic is not permitted. Signs will guide drivers. Dates may change due to weather.

Notice of Fieldwork - Elm Grove Avenue Drainage Study
The City of Richmond Hill has hired WSP to study stormwater management in certain areas, including Elm Grove Avenue, Gallacher Avenue, Blyth Street, and parts of Coon’s Road and Parker Avenue. This study will help plan future road upgrades. Experts will conduct surveys, including in natural spaces behind properties on Blyth Street. Field investigations are expected to start on May 26, 2025, and continue until the end of June.
