This fall, the City of Richmond Hill will be installing new “Slow Down” boulevard signs across the city including along Greyfriars Avenue between Blackforest Drive and Coons Road.

Two children hold green signs reading "SLOW DOWN" against a blue sky background, one in a white dress, the other in green and jeans.

These signs are an important reminder for drivers to be mindful when travelling through neighbourhoods. They are part of our shared effort to make streets safer and more comfortable for children, families, and pedestrians.

The project is part of a City-wide pilot program to promote traffic safety. Over the next year, City staff will monitor the impact of the signs and gather feedback from residents to see how effective they are.

Installation will be completed before the end of September 2025 (weather permitting).
