Traffic Signals are coming to the intersection at Bayview and Bethesda

York Region is making improvements to the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Bethesda Sideroad to help manage increasing traffic volumes and reduce delays.


Phase 1 starts September 2025 with:

  • Installing new traffic signals at the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Bethesda Sideroad

  • The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane restrictions are required:

  • Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


Phase 2 begins in 2026 and includes:

  • A multi-use path on Bayview’s west side (Bayview Park Lane to Bloomington Rd)

  • New signals and a left-turn lane at Bayview and Anchusa Drive


Duration:

Phase one - September to November 2025

Phase two - Summer 2026
