Installation of Traffic Calming Measures on Worthington Avenue
The City will be installing traffic calming measures on Worthington Avenue from Bloomington Road to Yonge Street, to provide additional traffic safety measures for all Richmond Hill road users. These measures and any required signage will be installed by end of June 2026, weather conditions permitting.

Yonge Street Pedestrian Safety Update
Concern continues about the lack of a sidewalk on Yonge Street between Silver Maple Rd and Estate Garden Dr/Old Colony Rd. With no development planned, a permanent sidewalk may not be feasible. Pedestrians are forced onto a narrow shoulder beside fast-moving traffic. Staff are exploring interim safety measures like bollards, with York Region approval required. Please stay alert in the area.

Recap: Council Meeting - April 8
The City seeks $4.5M more for the Dave Barrow Civic Square due to expanded design and added features, funded by Development Charges and Parkland Reserve. City staff is asked for direction on defending 22 zoning by-law appeals at the OLT. A draft Richmond Green Master Plan proposes major upgrades with a $12.1M for the first phases. Member motions address antisemitism response, disc golf study, and adding CCTV cameras.
