Council is reviewing servicing allocation rules and zoning changes for new developments. Short-term rental regulations are under review for October 2025. Notice of Paving and Traffic Impacts: King Road May 12 to 16
To complete final paving, traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction on King Road, west of Yonge Street, to the intersection.
From Monday, May 12 to Friday, May 16, 2025, three lanes will be reduced to two lanes at all times for construction.
Access remains open for emergency services and driveways. Signs will guide travellers.

Road Closure: Rosegarden Crescent Reconstruction
Planned Road Closure: Rosegarden Crescent will be closed for approximately 20 meters from May to September 2025 due to reconstruction work. This closure ensures safe construction but will restrict through traffic. Local residents will generally have driveway access, except in the active construction zone. The contractor will provide advance notice if driveway access is affected.

Council Meeting Recap: Budget Committee of the Whole - May 6
The City’s 2024 Year-End Operating Results show a $1.84M surplus in the Operating Fund, with allocations to reserves. However, the Water & Wastewater Fund had a $2.43M deficit, covered by stabilization reserves. Strong tax penalties, aquatics revenue, and mild winter savings helped offset pressures like personnel costs and a CUPE strike.
