The City of Richmond Hill is currently undertaking the Richmond Hill Centre Secondary Plan study to develop the planning framework that will guide growth in the Richmond Hill Centre area over time.
On October 28, 2021, the draft Secondary Plan policies and the accompanying background studies were presented at a Council Public Meeting for consideration. Since the public meeting, several new and emerging provincial legislations were introduced that have an impact to the RHC area. These will need to be considered in the context of the Richmond Hill Centre prior to finalizing the draft Secondary Plan in the second quarter (Q2) of 2023.
On February 9, 2023 the City of Richmond Hill and the study’s consulting team, led by Urban Strategies Inc., will be hosting a virtual Public Information Session to provide a status update on the Secondary Plan; present an overview of how recent provincial legislation will impact the Secondary Plan project; and to give an opportunity for the community to ask questions.
