Neighbourhood Traffic Safety
Traffic safety remains a paramount concern in our neighborhoods, and as members of the Oak Ridges Neighbourhood Watch (ORNW), we play a crucial role by reporting reckless drivers.
Here’s how you can contribute:
-
Emergency Situations:
-
If you believe a driver poses an immediate threat due to:
-
Impairment
-
Erratic or aggressive driving
-
Road rage behavior
-
Immediate danger to the public
-
-
Call 9-1-1 promptly.
-
-
Road Watch Reports:
-
If you witness another vehicle being operated unsafely (e.g., speeding, running stop signs, ignoring red lights, failing to signal lane changes):
-
Submit a Road Watch report: File Road Watch Complaint
-
Include the license plate of the other vehicle, a description of the incident, and the time and location.
-
Attach any relevant photos or videos you may have.
-
-
-
Community Concerns:
-
If you notice an area within your community that requires police attention (e.g., a frequently ignored stop sign, consistent speeding):
-
Submit a community concern online: Submit community concern
-
Your input matters!
-
-
-
Promote Safe Driving:
-
You and fellow drivers can contribute to the goals of York Regional Police by:
-
Practicing safe driving habits.
-
Being considerate of others on the road.
-
Advocating road safety whenever possible.
-
-
-
