A free public information session where residents can learn directly from York Regional Police about current safety issues affecting neighbourhoods and how to protect themselves and their families.

What Will Be Covered

York Regional Police officers will present on:

 • Staying safe when out walking or shopping

 • Distraction thefts

Financial Safety

 • Frauds and scams affecting residents and seniors

 • Phone, text and online scams

Vehicle & Property Safety

 • Vehicle theft prevention

 • Carjackings and robberies

 • Protecting your driveway and garage

Stay Informed

 • How to stay connected to what’s happening in your neighbourhood

 • Where to report suspicious activity
